Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Daniel Eley waffled between going into engineering or dentistry during high school, until one summer, he worked at a local oral surgeon's office, helping with the sterilization of instruments. Seeing patients arrive in pain and leave feeling grateful, with their needs being immediately met, was a big factor in convincing him to go into dentistry.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Daniel Eley earned his dental degree from the University of Florida, and since finishing school, he has literally taken thousands of hours of continuing education (in addition to his years of clinical experience). Today, he is a Fellow with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists as well as an active member of the American Dental Association and Florida Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Daniel Eley met his wife, Heather, in college, and they got married after he finished dental school. They’re now the proud parents of three children. Born and raised in Melbourne, he’s eager to be practicing alongside his brother, Dr. Joel, which allows them to hang out every day while serving the community they call home.
Away from the office, Dr. Daniel Eley enjoys spending time with his family and friends, which usually involves fishing, cooking out, brewing beer, or watching college football. As his kids continue to grow up and have more activities, their hobbies and passions are slowly becoming his hobbies and passions.
